Embers Mezze Bar on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Cocktails.

Embers Mezze Bar is a tidy little Lebanese restaurant and bar in the iconic and heritage listed #52 building in the middle of the main part of Oxford Street. I’ve been to this place a few times over the past but each time was to a different restaurant. Rococo, then Sitar Indian have occupied this building. I’m sure many others will in the future.

There is a food area up the steps to your left and the current restaurant owners have added a small cocktail bar up the steps on your right. Being the old 1920s style building (commissioned in 1912) there are carpeted steps to everywhere. Definitely not the place to be stumbling about if you’re half tanked.

We went to try a couple of their cocktails. City prices but good cocktails, nonetheless. Service was good too. We may get back there sometime to try the food. Google Reviews are still showing mostly 4 and 5 star reviews so they’re continuing to do their best in a very competitive street. Worth checking out.
